Maasai: A Tribe in Kenya

Hello everyone! Today we will talk about the Maasais.
The Tribe it’s localizate in the southern part of Kenya and in the northern of Tanzania.
The main economic activity of the Maasais is the pastoralism of keeping animals. Maasais are led by councils of elders and they have warriors composed of young boys who have been circumcised to provide protection to the kingdom.
The Enkai it’s the God of the Maasais and a cultural practice it’s to offer sacrifice in the form of animals and the food is mainly meat and blood.
The Shuka
The Shuka it’s the main garment used by the Maasais. The Shuka it’s made of cotton, but in the past was made of animal skin. The Shuka it’s recognized by a red cloth that is rubbed with color or dye to make red. They also have a great amount of beaded jewelry around their neck, head and arms.
