Cueca: A Cultural Dance From Chile

Cueca it’s a type of dance and music. This musical style it’s danced in Chile.

The instruments that are used in the music are panderos,guitar, harps, drums and palms.

The lyrics of Cueca can have varied themes. The Cueca are danced by couples with free and loose bodies. A handkerchief it’s used by the boys, they do turns and circular figures in their hands. The dance is a dance of conquest, because the man makes evolutions to conquer a woman.Also, there are championships to elect the best dancers.
